WITCH HUNT PODCAST: Episode Three: An Evil Hand is Upon Them

Researching the “facts” about how a 17th. Century physician diagnosed girls and young women as coming down with a case of witchcraft affliction meant setting aside our 21st. Century sensibilities and accepting that Dr. Griggs, parents Samuel and Elizabeth Parris, and everyone else in Salem Village believed that witches were real and dangerous. They also believed that witchcraft affliction manifested itself as physical illness, not just a spiritual crisis.

Witch Hunt is a bi-weekly podcast exploring the events, places and legacies behind history’s most infamous witch hunts – literal and metaphorical.
