The Larcom Beverly has become a major hit in the North Shore music scene in recent months for their constantly impressive lineup of artists ranging from up-and-coming local acts to widely regarded cover acts to rock and roll legends. With past seasons including acts like Art Garfunkel and Booker T & The M.G.’s, it’s hard to imagine this year’s fall and winter line-up to even come close. But, leave it to GimmieLIVE to outdo themselves again.

This weekend the Larcom will be graced with the presence of the legendary blues artist Edgar Winter, and the timing of the “Frankenstein” artist couldn’t be better with Halloween around the corner. The blues rocker has had a consistent output since 1970, he and his brother Johnny are held in high esteem within the blues-rock circle as two of the most prominent figures that helped the genre smash into the mainstream. His newest album, Rebel Road, is available through Amazon and iTunes.

On the 14th, the critically applauded all-female Led Zeppelin tribute group Lez Zeppelin will also grace the stage at the Larcom, and their performances have not only been hailed by magazines and newspapers globally, but their work has been applauded by the members of the original group themselves. In fact, their first album in 2007 was produced by the legendary Eddie Kramer who famously mixed the vast majority of Led Zeppelin’s catalog.

The Larcom proves that Salem isn’t the only place to be this October, and if you want to see some amazing music legends during this month of tricks, crossing the bridge into Beverly can be quite a treat indeed.
